Mrs. Grant's Cherokee Language Classroom

Mrs. Natalie Grant resides in the Birdtown community with her husband, Zahay, and three children: Wakiyan, 11, Iyani, 8, and Koa, 3.  Her children are her motivation and dedication for the use and preservation of the Cherokee Language.  They all three attend New Kituwah Academy--a Cherokee Language Immersion school.  She taught at New Kituwah as a Language Specialist Assistant for two years before moving to Cherokee Central Schools in 2011.
